WHAT OUR CLIENT NEEDED
To elevate their analytical capabilities, a leading global aircraft lessor sought to streamline the integration of lease payment schedule transactions with their Kyriba treasury management system.
Zeevo professionals partnered with the lessor to design and deploy an automated interface that seamlessly connects the transaction details stored in MS Excel spreadsheets within a SharePoint document library to Kyriba, an industry-leading treasury management system (“TMS”).
“The outcomes of our solution empowered the aircraft lessor with streamlined operations, improved data integrity, and enhanced business intelligence capabilities, ultimately enabling them to confidently make data-driven decisions.”

HOW WE WORKED TOGETHER
Zeevo adopted a comprehensive approach that encompassed the following key steps:
Designing and Implementing a Windows Service:
Our team developed a robust Windows service specifically tailored to meet the client’s requirements. This service was pivotal in automating the extraction, validating, transforming, and uploading of lease payment schedule (LPS) transactions to Kyriba.
Leveraging a Cross-Reference Excel File:
We utilized a cross-reference MS Excel file, stored in a SharePoint library and maintained by a separate team, to validate and transform the LPS transactions into the required format for import into Kyriba. This collaborative approach ensured data accuracy and consistency throughout the process.
Inclusion Criteria for Transactions:
The automated service incorporated specific criteria to determine which transactions should be included. Specifically, any unpaid transaction with a due date greater than or equal to the current date and less than the current date plus six months was included for further processing.
Transformation to Predefined CSV Format:
The extracted transaction details underwent a transformation process to align with a predefined CSV file format. This standardized format ensured seamless compatibility with Kyriba, facilitating a smooth import process.
Enhanced Security through PGP Encryption:
The generated CSV file was encrypted using PGP encryption before upload. This robust security measure ensured the confidentiality and integrity of the sensitive transaction data.
Secure SFTP Connection:
The encrypted CSV file was securely transmitted to Kyriba using a secure SFTP connection. This connection employed a public and private key pair, providing a secure channel for the upload process.
Footnotes:
1. A “Windows service” is a term used in the context of Microsoft Windows operating systems to refer to a specific type of software application.
It is a program that runs in the background, without any direct user interface, and performs various tasks or functions autonomously.
2. CSV stands for Comma-Separated Values. It is a plain text file format commonly used for storing and exchanging tabular data.
3. PGP stands for Pretty Good Privacy. It is an encryption program that provides cryptographic privacy and authentication for data communication
4. SFTP stands for Secure File Transfer Protocol. It is a secure protocol used for transferring files over a network, providing secure and encrypted communication between a client and a server.
WHAT WE ACHIEVED
Through our comprehensive solution, the aircraft lessor experienced significant outcomes, enabling enhanced business intelligence capabilities and streamlining its operations.
- Automated Extraction and Integration:
Our solution successfully automates the extraction and integration of lease payment schedule (LPS) transaction data with Kyriba, eliminating the need for manual processes. This automation ensures a seamless data flow, empowering the lessor to make informed business decisions based on accurate and up-to-date information. - Flexible Configuration:
The implemented service offers flexible configurations to cater to specific requirements. It supports on-demand runs, allowing the lessor to initiate the integration process as needed. Additionally, it includes a validate-only run capability, enabling the identification and resolution of validation errors before executing a scheduled upload. - Increased Frequency and Efficiency:
The service is designed to run multiple times a week, ensuring the timely integration of LPS transaction data with Kyriba. By increasing the frequency of updates, the lessor benefits from real-time insights and can respond promptly to changing market dynamics. - Proactive Error Resolution:
With the ability to perform a validate-only run before the scheduled upload, our solution provides a proactive approach to error resolution. This allows the lessor to address validation errors in advance, ensuring data accuracy and minimizing disruptions during the integration process. - Effective Error Communication:
The service automatically generates a list of validation errors encountered during the integration process. These errors are then promptly communicated to a predefined e-mail distribution list. This efficient error notification mechanism enables timely resolution and ensures that all stakeholders know of any issues that require attention.
“By employing this meticulous approach, we streamlined the integration of LPS transactions with Kyriba and prioritized data accuracy, compliance, and security throughout the process.”
